The Purpose...

Strategic programmes for the development of Godly habits, based on Biblical principles, and encouraging discipline as a positive in the ongoing spiritual walk of the believer. It encompasses 4  key areas:-

  1. Quiet time.( Joshua 1:8)
  2. Scripture memory.( Psalm 119:11)
  3. Bible study.( 2 Timothy 3:16)
  4. Christian service. (1 Peter 4:10)

So, what's it about?...

Aids are available in each of the principles mentioned above:-

  1. Online Quiet Time diary, is a system for personal daily time in the Word of God, and enables accountability and journal keeping arising from daily study of the Word of God.
  2. Scripture memory packs are available on many themes. Topical Bible Study teaching, also involves relevant scripture memory packs. A software application entitled “Renew my mind” is also available as a practical aid.
  3. Bible study material is available to enable the timeless truths of Biblical life and doctrine to be incorporated into the life of a believer. Seminar type teaching materials are available.
  4. WOL wishes to assist young believers to become empowered to demonstrate their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Issues such as stewardship, gifting, fellowship are but some of the issues that materials and teaching are available from WOL. Additionally our programmes (Kick off, Training) equip young people to serve in various evangelical activities that WOL hosts.

How it all started?

In the 60 years of the Ministry of Word of Life these issues have been central to the gospel and discipleship ministry of Word of Life. It has its own accredited Bible colleges and many materials that have been developed and tested. And which are being constantly reviewed in the light of today’s youth and their needs.WOL Australia has full access to the parent organisation’s resource, whilst also having its own resources here in Australia that can be suited to a particular environment here.

Typical activities...

All Word of Life events in 2012 and beyond, incorporate these essential disciplines in one way or the other. Individuals, groups or Churches may form individual programmes  by using the methods mentioned above in points. For a full list of events, please see the events page.
