   “Brethren, pray for us…” Minimize

As Paul closes his letter to the Thessalonians he makes a simple yet profound request: “Brethren, pray for us” (I Thessalonians 5:25). We at Word of Life know the importance of prayer. We have often said that evangelism is the heartbeat of Word of Life, and that is so true! However, Evangelism without prayer only leads to man’s effort.

In “A Mind For Missions”, Paul Borthwick defines a “Prayer,” a “Prayer Warrior,” and a “Prayer Champion.” A “Prayer” is someone who prays for a missionary whenever they get a letter or email or when the Lord brings them to mind. A “Prayer Warrior” is someone who prays for you on a regular basis, once a week or everyday. A “Prayer Champion” is someone who not only prays for you daily, but also gets other people to pray for you.

Word of Life needs people to become “prayers”, “prayer warriors” or “prayer champions” for our ministry. If you would like to receive monthly prayer updates, please visit our Subscriptions page. We look forward to hearing from you!
