"Be still and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10

The world is in panic over the COVID-19 virus, how should we as God’s people respond? In Mark 4:35-41, the disciples were fearful for their lives in the storm, in their consternation they woke Jesus and asked, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and waves, “Quiet, be still!” The wind died down and it was completely calm.

Does the Lord not care what is happening in our world right now? Is He asleep? Quite the contrary, this virus did not surprise Him, but rather gave us an opportunity to share his Gospel in our weakness. Cease striving, stop fighting, stop fearing! Be quiet, be still. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)

Does this mean we are to be passive and do nothing? No. Instead, we are to be active. Let this be a time for sharing the Good News of Christ. The Gospel cannot be quarantined. God gave us many unique resources like social media to do so. Pray for your friends/family and love them as Christ did.
Take the appropriate precautions provided by our government, just know the Lord was, is, and always will be in control.

Who is your One?

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” – Luke 19:10

The great commission is not an option but a mandate to obey. The question is: Who is your one?
This video will inspire you to prayerfully think of one person to reach out with the precious Gospel of Jesus Christ.
