Our purpose is to provide teaching principles to inspire, encourage and equip youth leaders and teenagers in this generation for the long haul.

What is the LDC?

The Leadership Development Conference is a large event collaboratively organised by many churches and youth groups from the surrounding regions, creating a dynamic and impactful experience for all involved.

As we read the Gospels, we find a fascinating example of the leadership of Jesus, our supreme leader. Jesus led a group of young people, transforming their lives so they could later impact the lives of many others.

The LDC is a great opportunity to reflect on the leadership characteristics of Jesus that can help us build a youth ministry focused on developing disciple-makers.

Our Belief

We believe that as youth leaders build on their spiritual lives with lasting resources, they will begin to impact the lives of those they lead. So we all can be “rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:7).

Leadership Development Conference Logistics

Program Run Time

A standard church LDC has a total run time of 4 hours. This includes the teachings, and a social time of food and drink.

Venue / Maximum Attendance Ratio

A church auditorium with enough to house 100-200 people.

Set up / Pack Up

The team requires 2 hours to set up before the event and a further 2 hours to pack up afterwards.

Insurance

Word of Life has liability insurance for the LDC. This insurance covers the LDC as an indoor event.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

Church & Youth Groups

As part of Word of Life’s marketing and publicity of the LDC on our website and on social media, we require photography and videography. By agreeing to attend the LDC for your church/youth group, you agree to being filmed or photographed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes. If there are any concerns, contact us.

When you book your tickets online, you will receive an email confirming your purchase. We will have all your details and the number of tickets purchased. All you need to do is show up.

Food, drink, and the leadership teachings.

We do! When you go to purchase your ticket, there is a section for you to tell us of any known food allergies.

$40 for your LDC ticket (if not already purchased online), your friends. And a hat, if you want…
